Urban Nexus and Smart City Lab (UNSCL)

The Urban Nexus and Smart City Lab (UNSCL) consists of four state of the art labs to support our research activities.

Media Lab​oratory

Media Lab is a supporting facility to optimize learning and research efforts related to urban areas. The Lab facilitates urban planners to visualize urban designs. In the future, Media Lab is planned to be an interactive simulation medium equipped with a mockup composed of Lego and Augmented Reality.

Virtual Reality Laboratory

One of the advanced labs provided by IUS is the VR Lab. VR Lab can help the city and regional researchers see the possibilities of urban engineering and design by modeling and simulating using a virtual reality environment. 

Integrated Studio​

The integrated studio is a virtual space to support studio courses’ teaching and learning activities in the Masters’ Department of Regional and Urban Planning. The studio courses are the application and practice of various theories which are divided into several groups.

Facilities provided by the integrated studio will support discussion, presentations, manual site drawing, and data archives using computers.

Urban Nexus and Smart City-Lab​

IUS equipped with international standard laboratories that can facilitate research and education initiatives that focus on a collaborative approach. The lab provides a variety of analog and digital data collection and analysis tools.
